Job Description

A leading manufacturer of performance fluid transfer systems is recruiting for a Sales Engineer to join their motorsport area of the business. The business operate in the OEM, automotive, motorcycle, motorsport, defence and specialist industrial sectors. This dynamic private company manufactures in ten facilities globally and supplies customers around the world with a unique combination of design, innovation, reliability and outstanding service. The company has a current global turnover of over £35m and operates globally with manufacturing and distribution operations in the UK, USA, Mexico and Europe, employing more than 300 people worldwide.

The company has a wide range of customer specific requirements within the Motorsport division.
The post holder is required to carry out effective management of customer accounts and take the company forward in an automotive environment

The successful candidate must be able to:-

• Carry out strategic formulation for future business development.
• Cost centre management.
• Assist in budget development and maintenance.
• Complete enquiry / quotation through the CRM system.
• Complete visit reports in a timely manner.
• Be the customer voice.
• M/S customer base management UK.
• M/S customer base development, UK.
• Maximize the opportunity, turnover and profitability of existing and new accounts.
• Work effectively with all departments of the business.
• Support the UK P&M team to achieve the above objective.
• Cost (within remit) / TO control.
• NBO and new customers added to the Portfolio.

The ideal candidate will:-

Have experience in working in an automotive/motorsport manufacturing business.

Have at least 3 years field sales experience & be a self starter.

Be professional both internally and externally; constantly striving to improve efficiencies within the commercial department.

Have excellent standards of communication, initiative and relations with all other departments are achieved.

Understand and carry out plans and objectives agreed with their line Manager. A satisfactory performance is reached to maximize work output.

Always be working towards scoring above and beyond customer expectations internally and externally.
