REGIONAL SALES MANAGER – NORTHERN ENGLAND & IRELAND
TO £60K BASIC, £80K OTE, CAR, UP TO 10% PENSION,25 DAYS HOLIDAY
PREMIUM OFFICE FURNITURE MANUFACTURER

The role:

The primary objective of this role is to meet and exceed the financial target as set by Herman Miller for the specified region.

This will be achieved through providing the commercial leadership of the territory, through building meaningful relationships with both dealer principals and salespeople and through the managing, coaching and motivating of Herman Miller salespeople.

Specific Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed the annual financial goals within the assigned territory; £15m
• Establish, communicate and implement a strategy to achieve sales volume
• Provide commercial leadership of the territory; team of 4
• Build and manage excellent relationships with all dealers in the territory to implement sales strategies to increase business levels and to adhere to registration policy protocols
• Develop and manage a motivated sales team that creates new business opportunities
• Ensures the team are using Salesforce.com, Miller Heiman techniques and a Challenger Selling approach to maximise the chances of winning
• Provide the Regional Director forecasts of expected sales volume. Provide other reports on request and be accountable for iSpot accuracy
• Build industry knowledge of the territory and competitive ability within the assigned territory
• Involve other groups as appropriate such as the Global Account team, Major Projects group A&D or Dealer Development
• Maintain knowledge levels on all products and services
• Regularly network outside of business hours to initiate and build relationships with all stake-holders, particularly dealers and customers


Candidate

• Must demonstrate strong commercial acumen
• Must have a level of command and gravitas to ensure that all dealer owners and principals work in accordance with company strategy and policy
• Must be able to communicate succinctly and fluently and in a compelling manner in both verbal and in written forms
• Must demonstrate high levels of drive and energy and be self sufficient
• Must be able to coach, manage and motivate a sales team and act over any perceived issues
• Must work as part of a team, engaging regularly with the Global Account team, Major Projects group A&D or Dealer Development
• Must be flexible to work long hours when required and prepared to make regular early starts
• Must be numerate in establishing our commercial position on projects, in the preparation of quotations and in the provision of forecast information
• Methodical, hardworking, ambitious and energetic
• Highly resilient, able to handle conflict and minimise confrontation
• Articulate and diplomatic
• Honest and with high levels of integrity
• Strong level of commercial acumen
• Strategic in planning
• Education and Experience Requirements
• Minimum A ‘level or higher education with success in a Business Skills based examination
• Proven track record in generating new business for a minimum period of 5 years.
• Proven track record in managing a sales team
• Proven track record in holding relationships with Dealer Principals
