Senior Business Development Manager –Midlands / North West- Major European Packaging Manufacturer

Competitive Basic Salary c £44k-£55k + Significant Bonus and Commission +Car + Laptop + Mobile + Benefits including excellent company pension

Location ; Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Stoke On Trent, Birmingham or surrounding areas

The Role

We require an outstanding sales professional to join our highly successful sales team based in the North of England. The focus will be new business sales within major multinational accounts throughout the UK with responsibility for gaining, retaining and developing business within the FMCG, Industrial, Food, Drink, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Manufacturing, E-Retail, and other competitive sectors.

The successful candidate with be the link between internal and external sales networks and manage the whole sales cycle of lead generation, contract negotiation, new projects and sales development initiatives within the targeted sectors
.
There will be some requirements for business travel throughout the UK network of manufacturing sites and potential for European reach.

The Candidate

You will be an outstanding Sales Professional who can demonstrate a record of sales target over achievement to date. Whilst a background in the Print/ Packaging sector would be useful, applications are welcome from candidates currently employed in any competitive market sector.

The successful candidate will demonstrate significant sales success to date and be comfortable working strategically at all levels. You will be a strong negotiator passionate about winning major new business involving contract negotiations.

You will be commercially astute with exceptional organisational and presentation skills and the ability to form excellent internal and external networks. Specific technical knowledge is not essential, it is more important that you are comfortable in a targeted new business sales role offering a consultative solution.
