Export Sales Manager – Commercial Catering Equipment

Package: £50,000-£60,000, (OTE £70,000), Car Allowance, Fuel Card, Phone, iPad, Laptop

Location: Birmingham, Worcester, Coventry, Leicester, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Corby, Peterborough, Nottingham, London, Reading, Cambridge, Swindon, Bristol

We are a market leading UK manufacturer who specialise in the sale of heavy commercial catering equipment into the foodservice sector.

We are a successful business who have been established for over 40 years and have a global presence.

We have a fantastic reputation for the manufacture of quality and award winning equipment including Fryers, Griddles, Grills, Ovens, Comi Steamers and Water Boilers.

We have consistently achieved a year on year growth of around 20% to reach our current turnover of £45 million.

We are now seeking to recruit an experienced export manager who would be enthusiastic in driving our export sales as we continue to expand our success worldwide.

THE ROLE:

This position is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading manufacturer to drive sales and the growth of the company overseas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of the export sales strategy as well as the training and motivation of worldwide sales staff and distributors to achieve targeted growth.

The successful candidate will play a part in winning key businesses, as well as managing a number of existing accounts around Europe and the Middle East.

The role will be home based with the requirement to travel overseas regularly (approximately 3 days per week). The successful candidate will be expected to formulate marketing content and attend global exhibitions to promote the business.

A significant part of the role will include researching and evaluating new market opportunities, as well as being aware of overseas business opportunities, market conditions, product development opportunities and competitor activities.

The Successful candidate will be expected to draw up written proposals to the Managing Director as well as a monthly report on activity, achievements and opportunities and points of interest.

Our route to market key distributers and wholesalers, although there may be contact at end user level for larger groups and chains.

THE APPLICANT:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Export Sales Manager, skilled in selling through dealer networks as well as developing relationships with distributors and end users with proven success.

• Candidates must have spoken and written fluency in French and good business and working knowledge of a second European language.

• Candidates are preferred to have experience selling catering equipment and supplies into distributors and wholesalers targeting the foodservice sector.

• Candidates with an understanding of a European language are of particular interest.

• Candidates with experience selling commercial catering equipment are highly advantageous.

• Candidates must be able to work autonomously and manage their diary pro-actively when preparing for, planning and undertaking overseas travel.
