What is the role?

• The Business Development role is firmly focused on New Business acquisition of strategic customers in our chosen sectors
• The successful candidate will assume responsibility for end to end sales cycle management from lead generation/enquiries through technical solution to trial , financial proposals and negotiation to project implementation.
• As part of the national sales team the Business Development Manager will be responsible for delivering challenging budgets for turnover and margin
• The business has an empowered culture and the successful candidate will manage varied aspects of client facing activity including logistics and supply chain.

• This is a “hands on” role requiring full time commitment and personal ownership of customer service
• It is a given that the candidates will be comfortable with current IT software and possess excellent presentation skills.

The Candidate

• The requirement is for an experienced sales professional who can demonstrate an outstanding record of new business success and client development, project management and service delivery.
• The role will require experience of working within a dynamic and targeted sales department servicing a wide range of local and national clients across multiple sectors in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Whilst exposure to Flexibles, Cartons, Corrugated, plastics or Packaging materials within the Produce, Food, Horticulture, Industrial or Manufacturing sectors would be welcome we are interested in applications from outstanding new business specialists currently working in any competitive sector
• The successful candidate will be a problem solver with a consultative sales approach
• You will be IT literate with excellent time management and organisation skills and an outstanding understanding of sales administration
