Area Sales Manager – Southern Counties – Tile Importer

Basic Salary: UP to £50,000 (ote negotiable depending upon experience)
Benefits: Company Vehicle, Phone, Laptop, Fuel Card, 22 days holiday allowance.

The Role:

One of the UK’s most well established importers of Porcelain and Natural Stone tiles are looking to appoint an Area Sales manager covering the South of England.
These mid to high end tiles will be predominantly sold via trade merchants and retailers. Your role will be 20% account management and 80% new business development making sure both existing and new clients are aware of the complete product range on offer. This will be achieved by engaging with existing and potential clients sourced through your own new business development.
This role is based ‘on the road’ promoting the full range of products on offer however the successful candidate will be expected to visit the head office once a month. Stock is carried to visits which has proven to be beneficial when assisting the sales process in the past.
A company vehicle is included along with a fuel card, 22 days holiday allowance, laptop and work mobile. With a very generous basic salary along with a performance based commission scheme there is huge potential to earn in this role.
This well established importer of porcelain and natural stone tiles has grown considerably in revenue over their 9 year history and has exciting growth plans moving forward, targeting £3million of growth in the next 3 years. The company boast a very modern head office which is conveniently adjoined to the warehouse.


The Applicant:

Ideally you will have 5 years proven experience selling within the tile industry into the UK construction market primarily to trade merchants and retailers. We are seeking an energetic, tenacious and enthusiastic sales professional who thrives on developing new business opportunities whilst ensuring that the strong existing customer base is serviced accordingly and ensuring that opportunities are maximised within a heavily autonomous role.
The successful candidate must have strong experience of working in a field based role with demonstrable success of achieving sales targets with profitable margins, ideally the successful candidate will have a strong background within the trade merchant and retailer led route to market.

This role is available for an immediate start and suitable candidates can be based in any one of the following locations; Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Kent, Essex, Middlesex, Buckinghamshire.
